TABLE DRAWINGS
For many years, both in his city and while traveling, Kravetz has been working on what he calls “Table drawings”. They are drawings made of rolls of napkin paper, made on the tables of restaurants, cafés and bars. The work suffers mutations through the duration of the meals, and is ephemeral: the artist destroys it as he leaves the table. A short time ago, Kravetz started to record in photographs his passage through some of those tables. These few “table drawings” that have been recorded are like the tip of a huge iceberg, created -and destroyed- along the last 20 years.
The table drawings have been the origin of the participative installation “The bar table” (2006) and to digital graphic works, that include those images.. Frase Modificada: The table drawings have been the origin of the installation “Breakfast” (Río Gallegos, Argentina, 2009), and the participative intallations “The bar table” (Mexico, 2006) and “Unstable Permanence”, Bogotá, 2010, and to the digital graphic works that include these images.
